Hull’s favourite Christmas tradition is back – and this year it comes with a twist! The Santa Claus Showtime returns to Trinity Market for 2025, bringing families together for free festive fun every Saturday in the run-up to Christmas. And just around the corner in Hepworth’s Arcade, a new neighbour is moving in… The Grinch Grotto!

This much-loved event has become a highlight of the city centre’s festive calendar, delighting thousands over the past two years. It’s all about making Christmas magic accessible for everyone – with four free performances each Saturday (11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm) packed full of songs, dancing, laughter and a special market trail.

Highlights include:

– Santa sings – and even raps! Join in with Christmas classics and cheeky festive rhymes.
– Meet the elves – strike a pose and grab a photo with Santa’s mischievous helpers
– Festive trail – follow the clues around the market and claim a sweet treat reward
