Janey’s Food Shack

Janey’s been serving up good food in Trinity Market since 2001. In 2019 took over the business she worked at and renamed it Janey’s Food Shack.

It’s a value-for-money delicatessen that sells fresh, locally made pastries and pies, quick lunches such as jacket potatoes, sandwiches, wraps, and salad trays, plus a large variety of food on the counter that you can take home or eat in the market[1] .

Customers love the fact that the food is locally sourced – for example, the pork pies are from a small butcher’s shop in Bridlington and the pastries are made at a local bakery in Tweendykes, Hull. The helpings are generous, too, there’s no scrimping on the salad trays here. Equally, the staff say they have come to see their customers as their friends – smiles all round!
