Prices for hearty pizzas, calzones and pasta dishes start at just £3, and it’s not much more for other, hugely popular, specialities such as spinach or Bolognese arancini. You can also choose from delicious paninis, chicken dishes, meatballs, fries, rice al forno and fritto misto – mixed, fried seafood. Can’t decide? There’s a daily special so you can mix it up without having to choose your favourite.
Alessandro’s also sells mouth-watering Italian pastries and desserts such as cannoli and sfogliatine filled with chocolate or pistachio, as well as tiramisu and gelatos. Italian soft drinks and beers are available by the bottle or on draught.
